Though very easy to afford and use, the homely remedies suggested for treating cradle cap, the crusty, scaly greasy skin condition, sometimes become risky. For example, when you use oils to keep the disease under control, you take a rather serious risk. As prescribed, oils of any type, vegetable or chemical is to be used on the affected area and then left for a few hours.
Then, when the scales on the cradle cap affected area become enough oily, they are to be brushed away something very soft. Here lies the problem; how soft a very soft thing can be! One may use brush, tooth brush or other such kind of things to brush off the scales. But the scales, after being soaked in oils for long hours are bound to become a little sticky.
